This is a line drawing of the view of my room when one is sitting on the end of my bed. I just recently moved back to live with my parents after spending the past four years living on my own in Ottawa, and - aside from the bed - this bookcase is literally the only stick of furniture I have in my room at the moment. I chose it as a subject for a line drawing because the shelves are so busy and I enjoy little details in artwork. I also enjoy the way I was able to represent different angles for the individual shelves. This was drawn using a black uniball ink pen, which really makes the drawing pop out of the page.
